About

The DIC Hostel is located on Poljanska Street 26, in central Ljubljana. It is within walking distance of the city centre with all the amenities, nightlife etc. It offers 24/7 reception, free Wi-Fi, laundry service, self-serving breakfast, and loads of common spaces.

ROOMS and SERVICES

  • Single or shared rooms are available (each room can accommodate up to 2 people). 
  • Ben linen, duvet, pillows, and towels provided
  • Self-serving breakfast
  • Study desks in rooms
  • Common study spaces 
  • Football and basketball court
  • Shared kitchen and shower facilities (1 shared block per 5 rooms)
  • Laundry services can be arranged at the reception desk (8€ per 1 large bag of laundry).

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT

Accommodation is available for a flat rate (price depending on the single/shared room option) during the summer school with extra + / -  2 days, that is from Saturday, July 29, to Sunday, August 13. You can choose to arrive and depart anytime in between. If you wish to extend your stay outside the period from July 29 to August 13, you can avail of a discounted price. For availability and further information please contact the hostel directly at hostel@dic.si. 

You can reserve your accommodation only via the summer school registration form. Please contact Hostel DIC only in cases if you want to come before July 29 or stay after August 13.

Check-in:

Check-in is available from 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 29. Should you come earlier you can drop off your bags at reception and return to complete check-in later.

Check-out:

You can check-out any time before 10 a.m. on Sunday, August 13.

LOCATION

Upon first arrival:

If you are arriving to Ljubljana to the main bus and railway station, the hostel is a 20 min walk away. By bus, the easiest way to get to the hostel is from:

1) the bus stop “Kolodvor”: take bus number 2 (via Nove Jarše) and hop off at the station “Roška”. 

2) bus stop “Bavarski dvor”: take bus number 11 (via Zalog) or 20 (via Fužine / Zalog) and hop off at the station “Roška”.

Entrance:

Reception is located at the main entrance on the courtyard-side facing west: entrance_site-min.png



During the stay:

The best way to travel to the venue is to walk to the bus stop “Konzorcij” and take the bus number 18 (via C. STOŽICE) and hop off at “Živalski vrt-ZOO” or bus number 14 (via VRHOVCI or BOKALCE) and hop off at “Viško polje”. The bus rides are free of charge during the school with your participant badge.
